MAY 1982

(Unfair decrees, the Holy Grail, and passage to Denmark)

 

  • 12th. A law on blood segregation is passed, dictating that Purebloods and non-Purebloods must be separated in public

    • It was soon retracted. 

  • 16th. Alastor Moody, upon figuring out that Voldemort is after the Holy Grail, attempts to stop him by sending a select few members of the Order (Caradoc Dearborn, Sirius Black and Xavier Jordan) to stop him.
  • 20th. Decrees for non-Pureblood to attend physical and mental examinations at Azkaban followed by a mandatory tattoo.

    • 20th. An attempt to flee England is made by a small group of "rebels," for whom Herman Wintringham and Rita Skeeter arrange passage to Denmark. The link is an example of the ongoings by Xavier Jordan.

    24th. Due to severe unrest in the community and Voldemort's realization that "wait! That was a bad political move, wasn't it?!" they are retracted four days later.

  • 23rd. Meghan McCormack is killed by Death Eaters.

 

 

JUNE 1982

(Good/Evil Face-Off and an Alternate Universe Screwup)

 

  • 3rd. The Death Eaters kidnap Alastor Moody and set him as a trap for members of the Order of the Phoenix, who are alerted to the scene by McGonagall.

    • The two sides face off and McGonagall is killed in the process.

  • 17th. Moody organizes a small team of Orderlies (dubbed the Time Team) to travel back in time via Time Turner with the intention of stopping Voldemort from ever coming to power.

    24th. The Time Turner plan screws up big time and the Time Team are thrown into an alternate universe where Grindelwald is in power and the political situation was much, much worse. They have to make do until Caradoc Dearborn can fix the problem and nobody can remember the time spent there but the members of the team. This has no real relevance to the plot, but any mentions of "alt!SF" are in reference to this - the alternate Sien Finn timeline.

    29th. They return to their rightful universe! Xavier Jordan was kind enough to share his opinions on the matter with us.

 

 

JULY 1982

(Decrees and a New Political Figurehead of Ultimate Evil™)

 

  • 8th. The Ministry issued a series of decrees involving prohibitions on public gatherings, confiscation of certain magical items, registration of foreign citizens, and closing of the British borders. A curfew is also issued.

     10th. The wands of anyone in the United Kingdom are confiscated and numbered. Dementors are placed throughout the wizarding world, outside of both public and private buildings. All Muggle-borns and half-bloods are taken in for "questioning": they undergo a full-body search, interrogation under Veritaserum, and receive a numbered tattoo on the back of their neck. Here is the OOC post explaining the circumstances.

  • Manfred. When a mysterious foreign power threatens the current balance of power in the United Kingdom, the Death Eaters and the Order both find themselves scrambling to develop new plans and strategies.

    17th. On orders from Order leader Alastor Moody, Frank Longbottom kills two Death Eaters working inside the Ministry.

    18th. The Order and Death Eaters have a minor battle, in which neither side emerges victorious.

    20th. A public execution of Muggle-borns, orchestrated by Manfred, rattles the British wizarding world.

    21st. Manfred issues warrants (and rewards!) for the capture and arrest of numerous high-profile Death Eaters and Order members. These fugitives subsequently go on the run, later regrouping in Detroit.

 

 

AUGUST 1982

(Teh Doohm Sickness!)

 

  • 2nd. An accident in the Department of Mysteries causes a mysterious illness to spread through first the Ministry and then the rest of the wizarding population. Lots of people get sick.

    8th. St. Mungo's goes on lockdown.

       13th. The Healers and the Unspeakables develop a cure for the illness, and those afflicted are treated, eventually recover, etc. etc. Manfred is dead.

 

 

SEPTEMBER 1982

(Snakes in a Hospital!)

 

  • 10th. Nelson Carrows, renowned Healer and father of Death Eaters Alecto and Amycus, is appointed as the new Minister of Magic.

    10th. Some members of the community (aka the Order) are apprehensive. Apprehensive is a very good word.

  • 16th. Voldemort sends an owl to Antonin Dolohov, and Lucius & Narcissa Malfoy with orders to "take care of" Sirius Back, Lily Potter, and Arthur Weasley.

    16th. The targets are attacked in the light of day by the three Death Eaters, but before they can finish their job the Ministry is alerted via the Order of the Phoenix, which has been warned by Severus Snape, and Aurors are sent in and the battle is broken up.

    19th. An article in the Daily Prophet tells about how the wizarding public are praising their new Minister for his speed and resourcefulness; Tom Riddle is referred to as his right-hand man.

    20th. The Ashwinder Coalition, a small collective of wizards and witches of the United Kingdom who have at one time pledged allegiance to the Ministry of Magic, took over the Wizarding Wireless Network and broadcasts their message speaking out against the Ministry and the recent battle. They ask for an end to the war to prevent something even worse from happening.

        22nd. The Ashwinder Coalition releases St. Mungo's after a passage of thirty-five hours, bringing confusion to most people involved.

  • 24th. The Ministry of Magic passes a new decree stating that all magical inhabitants of the United Kingdom will be required to wear classification stripes at all times while in public. Different colours are given for each bloodline and the punishment for not displaying these stripes in public is a trip straight to Azkaban with out a trial.

    24th. James Potter is kind enough to share his thoughts of the decree and speak of the fact that the Aurors are now required to be stationed at places within London to enforce the decree.

    30th. The Weird Sisters, in an act of rebellion, removed their arm bands and burned them during their concert in London. They were arrested and sent to Azkaban.

 

 

OCTOBER 1982

(Attack of the Snakes, Mark Two!)

 

  • 6th. Rufus Scrimgeour is appointed Head of the Magical Law Enforcement department, while no word is spoken about Alastor Moody's dismissal. Lucius Malfoy is also appointed Inquisitor for the Department of Mysteries. Further warning is given as the Ministry will be reorganizing their offices from this point.
  • 10th. Rita Skeeter writes two articles depicting the love lives of two members of the Weird Sisters and the drama from within these two relationships.

    10th. Not to be outdone, Tabitha Smith writes an article as well about the recent automobile accident involving Stephen "Fry" McEntire, the drummer of Parasiiti.

  • 11th. Alice Longbottom has been fired from her job at the Ministry of Magic with out explanation.
  • 11th. The Weird Sisters are released from Azkaban and Herman Wintringham complains that the whole event had to be against some law.
  • 15th. James Potter has been fired from his job at the Ministry of Magic with out explanation.
  • 22nd. The Ministry of Magic is taken over by the Ashwinder Coalition by closing shut the doors with a black caulk-like substance that they can't get off and placing little snake shapes burned into the center of each door.

    26th. The Ministry of Magic responds to the attack by stating that all days missed from this will be taken out of the employees sick days, thus bringing about questions as many employees are already out of sick days thanks to the mysterious illness of two months ago. Also, Rodolphus Lestrange was given the power to conduct searches upon homes that were under suspicion of assisting the Ashwinder Coalition.

 

 

NOVEMBER 1982

 (The Ministry and Its Endless Amount of Paperwork)

 

  • 5th. The Ashwinder Coalition publishes a fact sheet revealing a possible movement toward a fully pureblooded Ministry of Magic.
  • 11th. The attack on the Ministry leads Minister Carrows to close the building for a brief 'reorganization', focussing on the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.

    • Another list of ex-employees-to-be is owled, along with notice of a curfew (20:30 - 06:30) effective until the following Monday. Family trees are requested for revision.

  • 14th. Those who have recently been laid off are asked to return to the Ministry so that a court can assess their ability to perform their former jobs.
  • 15th. The Ministry announces their reforms within the Magical Law Enforcement Department and rehires many of the employees. Also they created a new Auror department, naming Tom Riddle the head. The Department of Mysteries also announces their impending change and offers interviews to all interested parties that wish to join up.

    • From this date, all gatherings of twenty or more must have an Auror present for 'security'.

  • 19th. Members of the new Auror department are sent to Paris to 'take care of' Rousseau, the French Minister, on the grounds of an infrigement of the French Ministry's alliance with that based in London.
  • 21st. The Department of Mysteries and the Department of Magical Law Enforcement stage a snowball fight outside the Ministry, dubbed the Snowball Showdown.
  • 22nd. The Daily Prophet reports on the death of the French Minister of Magic, a suspicious rise in interest in land, and the Weird Sisters' American tour.
  • 24th.The Daily Prophet reports on Nelson Carrows' position as interim Minister of France, a summit for the Pan-European Wizarding Organisation in London, and the outcome of the Snowball Showdown. The Department of Mysteries won.
  • 29th. A surprise attack on Diagon and Knockturn Alleys leaves three buildings destroyed (Ollivander's, Borgin & Burkes, and the Blackbird), several injured, and at least four dead. No one has claimed responsibility.

    30th. The death count in the blasts has been confirmed at twelve, and the Ministry is launching an investigation into the attacks.

 

 

DECEMBER 1982

(And the Explosive Beginnings)

 

  • 1st. Diagon Alley suffers the next attack by the unknown bombers. This time they hit during the early morning. Diagon Alley is once again closed to all traffic.

    1st. Thanks to Xavier Jordan, the WWN broadcasts the sites of each attack (The Leaky Cauldron, Madam Malkin's Robe Shop in Diagon Alley, Creative Cooking Apothecary in Knockturn Alley, Good Relations in Knockturn Alley)and confirmed that the attacks came at 4:41 am.

  • 3rd. Breaking into the Wizarding Wireless Network once again, the Ashwinder Coalition takes responsibility for the attacks on Diagon Alley. They also state that they will hold off on another set of attacks to see if their demands will be met.

    3rd. As noted by Kirsty Dawlish, the symbols of the Ashwinder Coalition appear in the rubble of Diagon Alley as a further statement that they were the masterminds behind these attacks.

    3rd. Moody sends eight Order members on various missions to investigate different aspects of the recent attacks.

  • 12th. Invitations for the annual Ministry of Magic office Christmas party go out.
  • 13th. A rather upset Tom Riddle sends an owl to his Death Eaters to make sure that the Order Missions are interrupted. He also sends the Carrows twins to Quebec to meet with Minister Haywood.

    • 12th. Minister Carrows states that all employees must be out of the Ministry by no later than midnight on the 14th to prepare for the PEWO summit.

  • 15th. The Ministry of Magic is destroyed during the first few hours of the PEWO summit. The inital reports claim that there are no survivors and no trace of where Minister Carrows was during the attack.
  • 20th. The final report from the destruction of the Ministry of Magic is released with the death toll standing at 97 with another 20 survivors still in critical condition with in St. Mungo's. The Ministry of Magic opens another location and has yet to state where this new location is, but offers anyone that needs information to owl their offices. Also, the Ministry of Magic's annual Christmas party has been opened to the public allowing everyone to come together and celebrate and attempt to forget what has happened over the last few months.
  • 26th. The Daily Prophet announces the formation of the first Pan-European Ministry headed by Nelson Carrows. Also the rumor of a pregnancy between Kirley Duke and Celestina Warbeck, a car wreck from Fry of Parasiiti and a recall of a certain holiday item. It also announces that the Christmas party was success even with the Civil War reenactment.
  • 31st. The Ministry of Magic passes decree 7057.1.3 stating that all wizards will be moved from their homes and into safe areas until such a time the Ashwinder Coalition can be contained. The qualifying homes are asked to pack lightly and for only a week. Also the new location of the Ministry is revealed to be within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

 

 

JANUARY 1983

(And the...wait a tick, didn't someone try this idea before?)

 

  • 2nd. Lord Voldemort sends an owl demanding that all Death Eaters return to the United Kingdom before midnight Thursday.

    3rd. A Ministry memo goes out explaining a curfew within the two towns that they moved Halfbloods and Muggleborns to and the closure of the United Kingdoms borders starting at midnight on Thursday the 4th.

    • 3rd. Moody sends an owl asking all Order members to return to the country as well and promises biscuits to those that do.

  • 4th. Xavier Jordan broadcasts an announcement about a protest in front of the new Ministry offices in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea via his WWN radio show, Talk Sex With X.

    5th. The riot takes place in front of the new Ministry, and despite Xavier Jordan's warnings, it becomes violent. Jordan is arrested.

  • 8th. A Ministry decree is released saying that the borders will be open for all incoming citizens, requesting that all citizens outside of the United Kingdom return without being moved to the new camps. Everyone already moved is required to stay within their new homes for the time being. The decree also announces that all former or current Ministry employees will be brought in for questioning and an investigation.
  • 12th. A Daily Prophet is issued. It announces the arrests of Gemma Black, Xavier Jordan, and Regulus Black under suspicion of their involvement with the Ashwinder Coalition. Another article details the arrest of Stubby Boardman. There is also the announcement that all residents are to return to their original homes from before the relocation on the following Wednesday.

    12th. The Ashwinder Coalition hijacks the WWN once more, saying that they have not been stopped at all by the Ministry and that the government's efforts have been in vain.

  • 13th. The Daily Prophet releases an article by Rita Skeeter on the subject of secret Ministry goings-on. Information about Ministry bugs and searches are released.
  • 14th. Alastor Moody posts an entry in his journal explaining a plan to break out the prisoners on Canon Island on Wednesday.

    14th. Lord Voldemort sends an owl to his Death Eaters to meet on Canon Island Wednesday and not to let anyone escape.

    14th. Gringotts Wizarding Bank was destroyed in an explosion at 9:30 p.m. There were no reported deaths or injuries.

  • 17th. The Order of the Phoenix conducts a jail break on Canon Island meeting the forces of Lord Voldemort on the beaches around the jail. The prisoners escape and many on both side are wounded.
  • 24th. Alastor Moody sends six Order members after six Death Eaters to find out what they know about horcruxes. He instructs the rest of the Order to search pawn shops and more with a similar purpose.

 

 

FEBRUARY 1983

(Horcruxes, Award Shows, and Picnics, Oh My!)

 

  • 7th. The Daily Prophet is released. Among articles about celebrity pregnancies and a controversial artist, is the announcement of Abraxas Malfoy's death of dragonpox. There is also an open invitation to a Valentine's Day picnic thrown by the Ministry.
  • 11th. Voldemort sends a private owl to Death Eaters, ordering them to destroy the Ministry Valentine's party.
  • 13th. Moody updates his journal, commanding that the Order members be present at the picnic, in case any trouble arises. Peter Pettigrew subtly warns friends in the Order not to attend the party.
  • 14th. The Dark Mark is cast and hoardes of Death Eaters attack the party in Hyde Park, following their leader's orders to burn it down. The party is destroyed and a few injured.
  • 17th. The Daily Prophet announces the death toll for the Valentine's Day attack in Hyde Park, as well as the Magical Musicians Awards (MMAs) in a week, and the ongoing rebuilding of Diagon Alley.
  • 24th. The MMAs are held in Paris. Near the end of the ceremony, after the Weird Sisters are announced the winners of the Album of the Year, the Ashwinder Coalition attacks and the building is destroyed in an attempt on Minister Carrows' life.

    25th. The Ministry of Magic sends out a memo, announcing the death toll, and that Minister Carrows survived the attack.

 

 

MARCH 1983

(I'm Cleaning Out my Closet)

 

  • 4th. The Daily Prophet is released, announcing the mysterious death of Bartemius Crouch, Sr, as well as a highly anticipated Quidditch game to kick off the international season.
  • 7th. The Ashwinder Coalition broadcasts from the Quidditch game, revealing that Crouch was murdered, that the crime was covered up by the MLE, and the murderer was Death Eater and Ministry employee, David Goyle. Goyle was killed by the Ashwinder Coalition, but they also reveal that Auror Giselle Yaxley is a Death Eater and has broken her parole.

    7th. A warrant is issued for the arrest of Giselle Yaxley.

    7th. Professional Quidditch is temporarily suspended.

  • 11th. Giselle Yaxley is arrested at the Malfoy Manor after four days on the run.

    11th. The Ashwinder Coalition leaves a message in the journals, congratulating everyone on Giselle Yaxley's arrest, and outing Lucius Malfoy as a Death Eater

  • 15th. Lucius Malfoy is arrested at the Malfoy Manor.

    16th. The Ashwinder Coalition leaves a message in the journals, congratulating everyone on Lucius Malfoy's arrest, and outing Nathaniel Avery as a Death Eater.

  • 16th. Lord Voldemort sends an owl to all non-imprisoned Death Eaters stating that he will take care of these arrests and sends a list of people to be captured.
  • 18th. Regulus Black and Marius Yaxley are captured in Moscow by Antonin Dolohov and brought to Lord Voldemort.
  • 19th. Moody updates about Regulus's capture and states that they know the location of the horcrux asking for volunteers to go collect it. Lily Potter and Dorcas Meadowes volunteer.
  • 20th. Cash Proudfoot is captured while on his honeymoon in Monaco by the Macnairs. Kirsty Proudfoot is kind enough to share her anger in her journal.
  • 20th.The Ashwinder Coalition announce the names of two more supposed Death Eaters, Gemma Black and Rita Skeeter. It causes confusion for most everyone.

    21st. The Ministry of Magic send out an official request to bring in Rita Skeeter and Gemma Black under suspicion of being Death Eaters. They are not arrested due to lack of evidence on either of them.

  • 21st. Moody sends an owl detailing all the information about the horcrux they have to Dorcas and Lily. It's been discovered in Poland and the two are off.
  • 22nd. The Ministry of Magic posts an official apology to Rita Skeeter and Gemma Black and clears their names on the charges of being Death Eaters.

    22nd. The Ashwinders apologize for the mistake in naming Rita and Gemma and give the names of three more Death Eaters; Rodolphus Lestrange, Julian Derrick and Gawain Robards.

  • 25th. Arrest warrants go out for Julian Derrick and Rodolphus Lestrange and the two are sent to Azkaban prison to await trial.
  • 29th. A new issue of the Daily Prophet is released. Articles detail: the arrest of Jay Blue, a supposed member of the Ashwinder Coaltion and man responsible for hacking into the journal systems; the opening Death Eater trials, in which Giselle Yaxley, Lucius Malfoy, Julian Derrick, Nathaniel Avery, Rodolphus Lestrange, Gawain Robards, and Hamish McFarland are all put on house arrest while their trials ensue; the new German PEM ambassador; and the conclusion of the missing peoples' disappearances.
  • 29th. Cash Proudfoot, under the influence of the Imperius Curse, destroys evidence in the ministry of magic pertaining to the Death Eater trials.

 

 

APRIL 1983

('Sup Horcrux Stealers?)

 

  • 1st. Moody writes a journal entry telling Caradoc Dearborn, Sirius Black, Xavier Jordan and Frank Longbottom to be on Canon Island on Tuesday.
  • 3rd. Voldemort sends a letter telling the Death Eaters to be on Canon Island that same Tuesday.

    4th. They go to attempt to murder Voldemort but realise too late that it is a trap. Only Xavier escapes and the other three, along with Moody, are captured by Death Eaters.

  • 7th. Voldemort sends a letter to the Order offering to release the hostages in return for the accused Death Eaters' pardons.
  • 8th. Xavier and the Order, along with Gemma Croaker, make a fake horcrux instead and decide to trade it for the hostages. They go to Canon Island to make the exchange.
  • 11th. Voldemort discovers that the horcrux is a fake and confronts Peter Pettigrew about it. He eventually gets Peter to explain what happened.
  • 12th. The Daily Prophet publishes an article by Rita Skeeter about the missing evidence in the Death Eater cases and the suggestion that most of the suspects were under the Imperius Curse.
  • 15th. Voldemort sends a letter to the Order with a warning due to the fake horcrux.
  • 15th. The Daily Prophet publishes an article about the conclusion of the Death Eater trials. Since almost all of the evidence seemed nonexistant, all of the accused were sentenced not guilty save Gawain Robards, sentenced as guilty.
  • 18th. Voldemort sends a vague and cryptic owl to Alecto Carrows.
  • 22nd. The Daily Prophet reports on the deaths of those mentioned in Voldemort's letter, and that the four people found at the scene -- Regulus Black, Vaughn Dearborn, Cash Proudfoot, and Marcus Wilde -- have been brought in and charged with their murder.
  • 30th. A radio news broadcast reveals that the trial for the suspected murderers is well under way, and that Cash Proudfoot has revealed he was the one to destroy the MLE offices in March.

 

 

MAY 1983

(Backseat Driving's for Chumps)

 

  • 3rd. The Daily Prophet reports on the long-awaited return of Quidditch, Bellatrix Black arrested for attempting to break Regulus out of Azkaban, and Regulus Black accusing Alecto and Amycus Carrows of being Death Eaters.

    5th. Rumours begin to circulate concerning an investigation into Minister Carrows' connection to the Death Eaters.

  • 5th. Bellatrix Black is released from prison, raising several eyebrows in the general public, the Daily Prophet reports.
  • 7th. The Ministry of Magic reinforces the classification stripes, as well as implementing a curfew, and temporarily shutting down Diagon Alley and the Ministry of Magic to the public. 

    13th. The public is not pleased, as evidenced by these letters to the editor of the Daily Prophet.

  • 13th. Arrest warrants are issued for Amycus and Alecto Carrows.
  • 15th. Minister of Magic Nelson Carrows resigns, appointing his adviser, Tom Riddle, in his place.
  • 16th. Tom Riddle accepts his appointment as Minister of Magic, granting a full pardon to Regulus Black, Vaughn Dearborn, Cash Proudfoot, Marcus Wilde, and the Carrows, and repealing Carrows' decrees.
  • 22nd. Talks of an anti-Witch group in London begin.
  • 25th. The mother of Anastasia Elyashkevich is killed in Spain for witchcraft.

 

JUNE 1983

(Please, don't overdo the Monty Python jokes)

 

  • 8th. Tom Riddle appoints Beatrix Hayward, a halfblood witch, as his new Muggle-Wizard liaison.
  • 13th. The Daily Prophet reports on the deaths of three women accused of witchcraft, the Three Shanes' farewell album, and a fashion show.
  • 25th. Alastor Moody discusses the hangings of five more witches, this time in Staffordshire.
  • 29th. Voldemort sends an owl to all Death Eaters, alerting them of an attack they will be staging on London in Seven Dials on July 4th.
  • 30th. Gemma Black, having learned of the attack, warns the Order.

 

JULY 1983

(Riddle me this, Voldemort)

 

  • 1st. Alastor Moody tells the Order they are to try and break up the July 4th attack on Seven Dials.
  • 4th. The Death Eaters stage a gruesome attack on London from Seven Dials, which the Order attempts to break up.
  • 5th. Both the London Times and the Daily Prophet report on the Seven Dials attack.

    • The Times estimates the death count to be near 150.

    • The Prophet reports on Minister Riddle's response, and his intention to have Hayward meet with Margaret Thatcher.

  • 13th. Two Death Eaters who did not attend the attack are found dead in Seven Dials at 6:16 AM.

  • 17th. At a Wizarding conference, all seven members of the American board of directors are found dead, leaving Minister Riddle to fill in; the Ashwinder Coalition allegedly attacks a mental hospital in West Berlin; Augustus Rookwood, Antonin Dolohov, and Rabastan Lestrange mysteriously disappear; more witches are hung
  • 27th. The missing men are returned, and while Antonin Dolohov and Rabastan Lestrange are alive, Augustus Rookwood is found dead. 
  • 29th. Minister Riddle order Dementors to patrol the streets of the Wizarding United Kingdom for protection against Muggle interference; all Wizards in the Trans-Atlantic Alliance of Wizardry are now asked to carry damage proof Wizarding Identification Cards, to aid identification in the event of another attack.

 

AUGUST 1983

(If she weighs the same as a duck...)

 

  • 1st.  Muggle-Wizard Liaisons Beatrix Hayward and Jacob Hopkins engage in a loud argument regarding current policies and Muggle-Wizard relations.
  • 4th. Magical S&M club Victorian Corsetry is raided by the Muggle agency referring to themselves as the Malleus Maleficarum, and all the employees are arrested and taken to the Tower of London.

    6th. Several moves are made to help the arrested girls, such as a fundraising concert put on by Regulus Black at the Blood Orchid.

  • 10th. Regulus Black, Julian Derrick and Sioned Derrick meet at Something Amazaing to figure out a plan, discovering that the Tower of London was protected by runes.
  • 12th. The Booty Chest and Something Amazaing, both known strip clubs, are raided, and girls are arrested.
  • 14th. The night clubs known as the Blood Orchid, the China Club, and the East India Company were all raided in the same manner as Victorian Corsetry, the Booty Chest, and Something Amazaing. 

     • Several women are arrested.

  • 15th. Julian Derrick discusses a plan to aid the arrested women using the runes discovered in the Tower.
  • 15th. The Ministry of Magic tries to assure everyone they have everything under control.

    15th. The Ashwinder Coalition disagrees.

  • 16th. Three prisoners are executed outside the Tower of London. 
  • 19th. Upper Flagley is attacked by the Malleus Maleficarum. Both

    20th. Both witches and Muggle women are brought in.

  •   24th. Diagon Alley is raided.

    24th. At the same time, trials are suspended for the girls held prisoner.

  • 24th. With trials suspended, the Anti-Malleus Maleficarum group chooses to make a move.

    25th. Come dawn, an attack is launched to rescue the women held in the Tower of London.

    27th. Rita Skeeter reports on the outcome.

  • 30th. A massive charity concert, dubbed Wiz Aid, is announced.

 

SEPTEMBER 1983

(Who knew Bob Geldof was a wizard?)

 

  • 14th, 15th, 16th Wiz Aid goes off without a hitch.
  • 20th. Voldemort instructs the Death Eaters to find the witches who aided the Malleus Maleficarum.

    22nd. Regulus Black hears about this, and informs the Order.

  • 25th. His task hasn't been completed; Voldemort is NOT happy.

 

 

OCTOBER 1983

(Return of the Nazi Armbands Classification Stripes!)

 

  • 1st. Julian Derrick, Nathaniel Avery and Aleksandr Blane kidnap and fake the deaths of three world leaders (Thatcher, Reagan, and Andropov).
  • 10th. A building in Manchester (later revealed to be the Cis Tower) is attacked by German Death Eaters.
  • 14th. The Prophet reports on the death of Beatrix Hayward, the return of the missing leaders, and how it all relates to trouble with the Malleus Maleficarum.
  • 14th. Decrees are passed, including the severe restriction of travel into and out of the UK, Pan-European Ministry, and Trans-Atlantic Wizarding Alliance at large, a curfew, and the return of the classification stripes to help keep track of who is obeying this curfew.
  • 18th. A 6.5 earthquake rattles London.

 

 

NOVEMBER 1983

(Tours, Banquets and the GAP, oh my!)

 

  • 9th. Riddle's Decrees are lessened, and a monetary compensation for the hardship caused by the Malleus Maleficarum is sent out by Muggle Parliament.
  • 10th. The 79th Annual Dorcas Wellbeloved Banquet is announced, and honourees are invited.

     • Xavier Jordan discusses the event on his radio show.

  • 14th. Voldemort owls his most loyal Death Eaters and tells them to kill those not on their side at the banquet.
  • 17th. The Death Eaters follow through on the attack. 

 

DECEMBER 1983

(The Time Team Rides Again!)

 

 

 

JANUARY 1984

(Calling all scientists...)

 

  • 4th. Jacob Hopkins reappears.
  • 8th. The Unspeakables work out a theory on what has happened: the Malleus Maleficarum used Runes to travel back in time and kill who they believed to be the father of all wizards -- Merlin.
  • 8th. The Ashwinder Coalition hacks the journals to tell the pulic what's happening.
  • 10th. An owl is sent out to select members of society, asking them to arrive at the Ministry on the 12th.
  • 12th. The meeting turns out to be a think tank, and they are being asked to formulate a solution regarding the time slips.
  • 12th. People from alt!SF begin taking form in normal!SF.
  • 16th. The MLE receives a report that Grindelwald has been spotted.

    17th. The report is confirmed.

  • 17th. An attack is staged against the Malleus Maleficarum, planning to capture a member who can tell them about their actions on the timeline, if any. 

    The Malleus Maleficarum confirms the Unspeakables' theory.

  • 21st. Lucius Malfoy requests volunteers to help fix the timeline.

    23rd. The volunteers are asked to arrive at the Ministry of Magic for their job the following day.

    • Things start to go a little weird as the Time Team tries to fix the timeline.

  • 24th. Lucius Malfoy reports that the job is done, and the timeline should be repaired.

 

FEBRUARY 1984

  • 3rd. The Department of Magical Media requires all upcoming musical releases to hereafter be reviewed by the DMM before release. 

    5th. The reception by the musicians affected is not pleasant.

  • 16th. The MMAs are not attacked, but the food is vegan.
  • 17th. The Weird Sisters rebel against the Ministry's censorship acts. Warning: Link leads to adult content.
  • 29th. Julian and Sioned Derrick meet with the recently escaped Gellert Grindelwald in an attempt to discuss over throwing Minister Riddle.

     

 

MARCH 1984

  • 2nd. Alastor Moody discovers the recent escape by Grindelwald and sends members of the Order to find out just where he went and why.
                The Daily Prophet announces an arrest in the attack on the German Ministry of Magic, a fund raiser in Ireland on St. Patrick's Day, denies the rumours that                    there was a break out at Azkaban and wonders just why people have stopped eating meat in the UK.
